Also known as multi-factor authentication, 2-factor authentication (2FA) ensures that even if your password is inadvertently disclosed to a third party, they cannot gain access to your Knowa account without also a unique and temporary 6-digit code.

Enable 2FA in Knowa
When activating your account for the first time you will be presented with the option to activate once you have confirmed your name and entered a new password.
Alternatively if you have already created your account, this can be done from your Settings page. Click on your user name in the bottom left > Settings. Then click Turn on extra security at the bottom of the page.
You will be presented with two option for receiving the temporary 6-digit code:
Our default and recommended option is to use an authenticator app
Use an authenticator app (e.g. Google Authenticator, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator)
Receive a text message
Then simply follow the instructions to set up and enable 2FA on your accounr.
